Here’s the trailer and poster for the Footloose remake!

“Footloose”. Wow. I never thought I’d see the day. But there it is. A remake. *Sigh*. To say the original 1984 movie was a huge part of my younger years is an understatement – it was my younger years. Lori Singer was my girlk, Chris Penn was my bro and John Lithgow was the subject of nightmares. I probably saw the thing fifty times before my 12th birthday (first at the cinema where I preceded to dance around the back of the cinema after the screening), quickly establishing myself as the local resident “Footloose” expert and one of the few local Kenny Loggins fanclub members of country NSW. It still plays well… to me anyway; guess the music and dialogue plays a bit daggy now, but still, it’s a pity it couldn’t have been left alone.
But I digress, if only because I see I’m boring you; MTV and Hollywood Crush debuted the trailer and poster, respectively, for the Craig Brewer directed remake today.
What do you guys think? I think I need to see the finished film before making my decision…
