Heroes star spoofing Comic-Con?

Breckin Meyer, with the help of his “Can’t Hardly Wait” & “Josie and the Pussycats” writer/director’s Harry Elfont & Deb Kaplan, is about to take the piss out of the easily-mockable Comic Con.

According to Production Weekly, the “Heroes” star is writing “Superguys”, based on a story by Elfont and Kaplan, a comedy said to be in the vein of “Ocean’s Eleven” but set at Comic Con. I assume – it’s not stated – they’re the main characters are in San Diego’s Convention Center to steal something… Dave Prowse’s wallet? a crusty old Batwoman comic? Lou Ferrigno’s shorts?

Sounds to me like another incarnation of “Fanboys” – assuming, of course, the suspected story is on the money – but Elfont and Kaplan are involved (they also did the rather-fun “Josie and the Pussycats”), so it’s bound to be at least worth a look.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Seth Green has a part in the film – considering he’s Meyer’s best bud, and has appeared with him in quite a few movies (including both “Josie and the Pussycats” and “Can’t Hardly Wait”) and on TV (They’re currently on “Heroes”).
