Nick Robinson and Alex Roe are set to join Chloe Moretz in the cast of Sony’s sci-fi pic “The 5th Wave”.
J Blakeson is directing the adaptation of Rick Yancey’s YA novel from a screenplay by Susannah Grant.
“The 5th Wave” centres on 16 year old Cassie (Moretz) who has survived four waves of alien invasions with a fifth wave underway. While on the run trying to save her little brother, Cassie meets a mysterious boy (Roe) who may hold the secret to the alien’s weakness.
Robinson will play a boy turned ruthless zombie who Cassie had a crush on when they went to school together.
GK Films’ Graham King will produce with Tobey Maguire and Matthew Plouffe of Material Pictures.
