Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures have officially greenlit a sequel to “Dune” off the back of this week’s pleasing streaming and theatrical numbers in North America.
Director Denis Villeneuve will return to helm – as well as produce and co-write – the follow-up which has been skedded for an October 23 release. Unlike this first chapter, the studio plans for “Dune Part 2” to release exclusively in theaters.
The cast of “Dune”, including Timothy Chalamet and Zendaya, are expected to reprise their roles for the sandy second go-round.
