Hugh Jackman is top choice to replace Viggo Mortensen as the male lead in “Snow White and the Huntsman”, reports Deadline.
Kristen Stewart (as ‘Snow White’) and Charlize Theron (as ‘The Evil Queen’) are set for the Rupert Sanders-directed pic which “Lord of the Rings” star Mortensen recently dropped out of. Uni has been trying to find a replacement ‘Huntsman’ for the past coupla weeks.
Now that “The Wolverine” has been pushed back due to director Darren Aronofsky departing (Duncan Jones and David Slade have been mentioned as possible replacements on that film) Jackman’s got a free few clear blocks on his calendar so Universal have asked him if he’d be interested in spending his pre-Wolverine 2 days hanging’ out with pretty Kristen and glamour-puss Theron.
Guess we’ll know sooner or later whether or not Jackman likes fairy-tales (I do recall seeing him in a stage production of “Beauty & the Beast”, long before his ‘X-Men’ days, so that might hint to a thumbs up?) and hot ladies (TBD).
