Hunger Games star doing another book-cum-film

Feels horrible to be talking about movies about people fighting for their lives, when one of our own staff members is doing the exact same thing this week. And I have to say, just briefly on that topic, that it’s sad because I last saw him first weekend of March and he seemed fine but Olivia said some who’s and what’s came into his life after that and led to him getting very sick; we’re all rooting for him. But onto the movies, I do love “The Hunger Games”. Obviously it’s a complete fantasy, and there’s no lives being lost at the end of the day (unlike real life), but it really is an enjoyable film with some great fight sequences. I look forward to seeing the sequels and especially what the main actress does next.

The star of “The Hunger Games”, Jennifer Lawrence is going to star in another book turned film, Jeanette Walls‘ best-selling book “The Glass Castle: A Memoir”.

The 2005 book fixed on the author’s childhood with her “dysfunctional but vibrant” family.

Deadline says Lionsgate, who produced “The Hunger Games”, are doing the movie and that they’ve hired Martin Noxon from “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” to write the screenplay.

Obviously it won’t feature battle scenes – then again, with family involved, maybe it will?
