Busy Liam Hemsworth, who caps off a hectic twelve months with his reprisal of Gale in “The Hunger Games : Catching Fire” in November, will play a military fighter pilot in “Aurora Rising” for Relativity Media.
Deadline, first to report on the casting, say the “Hunger Games” and “Expendables 2” actor plays “a Southern California surfer turned military fighter pilot who, after acing a complicated and messy first combat mission, gets recruited to be part of an elite team to test the next generation of aircraft. This happens just as an international conflict begins to escalate.”
Christian Gudegast, who wrote the heavy Vin Diesel film “A Man Apart”, wrote the script.
