I think I Khan, I think I Khan…

Chris Pine’s first gig post-Enterprise will be director Tony Scott’s action-thriller “Unstoppable”, starring opposite Denzel Washington.

According to Variety, the “Star Trek” (and possible “A-Team”) star has, not surprisingly, received quite a few offers since hitting the big time as Jimmy Kirk in J.J Abrams’ smash-hit, but it was director Scott’s (“True Romance”, “Domino”) Runaway Train script that ignited his interest the most.

Fox and Pine’s reps are now working out a deal for him to play a young conductor who jumps into a locomotive with an experienced engineer (Washington) in chase of a runaway train that carries a cargo of toxic chemicals. The pic, loosely based on real events, was written by “Live Free or Die Hard” scribe Mark Bomback.

Did you know that one of the producers on the film is actress Mimi Rogers? Kid Ya Not.
