Indiana Jones goes to Space

If Harrison Ford were five metres away from me now I’d walk up and shake his hand. He’s just made his best career decision in quite some time.

The “Hollywood Homicide” (ouch!) and “K-19 : The Widowmaker” (ouch!) star has signed to star in a slick new Sci-Fi pic from James Cameron’s crowd. Called “Godspeed”, the outer space-set thriller is being put together by James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment, but Cameron won’t direct (He is currently working on a full-length dramatic feature utilizing the 3-D technology he developed for the 2003 IMAX film “Ghosts of the Abyss”).

Written by Ryne Douglas Pearson, “Godspeed” takes place on an international space station, where a life-threatening situation develops that could kill all the inhabitants on the station.

According to Variety, The film will begin production in the fall with plans to secure a director and studio quickly so that Ford can start filming early next year.

Before “Godspeed”, Ford will be seen in the WB thriller “The Wrong Element”.
