Iron Man 3 Set Pics and Spoilers!

The Pick-Up Artist rocked up to work his magic on the set of “Iron Man 3” this week… and before I continue, maybe I should scratch that first bit, considering most of our audience will have no recollection of a movie called ‘The Pick-Up Artist’ nor, for that matter, know that Robert Downey Jr played 1987’s answer to Tucker Max. So lets begin again, Downey Jr showed up to work this week, ready to reprise his role as Tony Stark for Disney’s “Iron Man 3”.

Also ready to rock, James Badge Dale (“The Pacific”), who is playing one of the film’s villains, ‘Coldblood’.

Some new set pics featuring Badge Dale in the Patriot Armour have surfaced. Now in the comics, Norman Osborne (from “Spider-Man”) is the first person to wear the Patriot Armor, and later, Iron Man himself. But seems will be wearing the garb for this outing.

“Iron Man 3”, directed by Shane Black and also starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Andy Lau, Ashley Hamilton, Sir Ben Kingsley and Jon Favreau, is currently filming down at Dawson’s Creek… better known as Wilmington, North Carolina.

Now who exactly is Kingsley playing? and how big a role does Pearce play?

Latino Review may have the answers :

Here’s what we can CONFIRM as true (and not from some guy working security on an off-lot shoot): The Mandarin (as played by Ben Kingsley) is a villain in the ‘Iron Man 3,’ but he’s more a veiled threat as a silent partner to Guy Pearce’s Aldrich Killian. Killian is the man inventing Extremis and putting it into his “Extremis army” of multiple super-powered individuals.

Still no word on exactly how many Extremis soldiers we’ll see, but I’m sticking to my theory that the Coldblood-7 and Firepower casting will not be traditional comics versions of those characters, but instead names they’ve given to Extremis soldiers.

While we’re talking ‘Iron Man 3,’ you might recall our last scoop involved the addition of William Sadler to the cast. We’ve since contacted both Sadler’s reps as well as Marvel. The official word: “No Comment.”

HELLS YEAH, Sadler’s in the movie.

Sadler and Badge Dale previously worked together on “The Pacific”, so that might be how that bit of casting (Sadler) came to be?
