Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nightcrawler delayed

Open Road Films is set to delay the release of Jake Gyllenhaal starer “Nightcrawler”.
The film has been pushed back two weeks from an original release date of October 17 to the newly appointed October 31.
While no reason for the move was given by Open Road, the move comes a week after Sony moved its Brad Pitt WWII film “Fury” to the October 17 slot. With both films pitched to a similar audience, competition would have been high had “Nightcrawler” remained slated for that date.
The film will now face off against two limited releases; Nicole Kidman thriller “Before I Go To Sleep” and Daniel Radcliffe horror “Horns”.
“Nightcrawler” was directed by Dan Gilroy and sees Gyllenhaal play a young man who is plunged into the underground world of LA crime journalism.
