Reitman and Carrey team for Fox Atomic comedy
Still bummed for Patrick Swayze, but lets all think positive thoughts….. like “wouldn’t it be good to see Jim Carrey do a decent comedy again!”
With “Juno” director Jason Reitman helming Carrey’s next picture, I’d say there’s a good chance it might actually happen. The film, saysVariety, is called “Pierre Pierre” and is a politically incorrect story centering on a self-indulgent French nihilist who transports a stolen painting from Paris to London.
The $13 million Fox Atomic production sparked a heated bidding war that came down to Universal, Mandate and Atomic, so either the script is “shit hot!” or everyone just wants to be involved in the next “Juno” – despite having not seen a script.
Edwin Cannistraci and Frederick Seton sold their script for “Pierre Pierre” for $1 million – wow, nice work if you can get it! – to Fox Atomic.
