Kent Kid takes on Leatherface

One of the “Superman” contenders joins prequel

Matthew Bomer, one of the young guns that was close to scoring the ‘S’ suit back when Brett Ratner and Michael Bay were involved in “Superman Returns”, has won a role in another franchise effort: The prequel to “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”.

Casting notices have been littered about online, asking for stand-ins/body doubles for Bomer, as well as co-stars Jordana Brewster, Taylor Handley and Diora Baird. If anyone gets their trousers off in this, let it be Ms Baird, best known as Playboy’s Miss August 2005.

Bomer, son of former Dallas Cowboy John Bomer, recently appeared on TV’s “Tru Calling” and before that, the soapie, “The Guiding Light”.

“Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Origin”, filming this month, tells the back-story of chainsaw wielding Leatherface (Andrew Bryniarski) and his family of freaks.

So who’s going to be the female Bond?
