Earlier this week, we reported that “Supernatural” alum Mark Pellegrino had joined the cast of Beverly Hills Cop : Axel F at Netflix. Today, Deadline has word that acclaimed actor Kevin Bacon – whose Footloose was, of course, released the same year the original Beverly Hills Cop hit.. and both were from Paramount – has been enlisted to play a role in the Eddie Murphy starrer.
In addition to Pellegrino, Bacon (“City on a Hill”, They/Them, Stir of Echoes) joins a cast that includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taylour Paige, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser, and Bronson Pinchot in the Mark Molloy-directed film.
The sequel is currently filming in California.
