Kevin Spacey has been tapped to play former British PM Winston Churchill in “Captain of the Gate”.
Ben Kaplan wrote the screenplay but a director is yet to be found.
Churchill served two non-consecutive terms as UK Prime Minister from 1940-45 and from 1951-55. His first term saw him lead Britain through World War II, often dubbed one of the great wartime leaders of the 20th century. The film is said to focus on Churchill’s rise to power throughout the war years.
