Kristen Stewart may be filling the void of Angelina Jolie (who departed the production due to creative differences or either personal or, er, sexual reasons) in “Wanted 2”.
Sources tell E! Online that “Stewart’s character would be a young, ass-kicking assassin in the Fraternity” at the core of the film. James McAvoy would reprise his role as newbie assassin, Wesley Gibson .
”Our insider says Kristen was approached to fill Jolie’s hot-woman void in the franchise and met at least once with Timur Bekmambetov, the director of the series”, says the site.
It’s still to be determined whether Jolie’s character, Fox, would appear in the film, but director Bekmambetov has mentioned in previous weeks that he’s been considering his options for the character – hinting at a possible cameo from Jolie.
The “Wanted’ sequel was originally supposed to start filming in August – but at this stage, the flick’s yet to get the official greenlight, let alone have a start date.
