Spin-off of the hit “That ’70s Show” heads to Netflix

Netflix has announced they’re developing a spin-off of the hit sitcom “That 70’s Show”.

“That ’90s Show” will see Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp reprise their roles as Red and Kitty Forman, Eric’s parents from the original. In the new series, it’s 1995 and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red. Sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll never dies, it just changes clothes.

The original cast members are likely to cameo in the series. ”That ’70s Show” alum Gregg Mettler will serve as showrunner, with original series creators Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner as Executive Producers

The first season will consist of 10-episodes.
