Law catches up with F.Gary Gray

F. Gary Gray (“The Italian Job”) is set to replace Frank Darabont as the director of “Law Abiding Citizen,” a drama that begins production in Philadelphia this December with Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx starring.

Darabont (“The Mist”) dropped out of “Law Abiding Citizen” a week before Foxx was set. Butler stars as a lawyer who is in the middle of a vigilante plot hatched by a traumatized victim of the legal system.

Last week it was announced that Gray would direct the Eric Bana-starrer “Armored”. He apparently still will – that film doesn’t need be before the cameras until next April.
