Let’s Hug it Out Big Screen!

I’ll have to drop my buddy, “Entourage” creator Doug Ellen a line to see whether this wasn’t taken out of context, or that the interviewee wasn’t yanking someone’s crank.. but if it is solid, by golly, I might just be asking for a new pair of dry underoos for Chrissy!

Executive Producer (and two-time guest star) Mark Wahlberg tells The Hollywood Reporter that “Entourage : The Movie” could be on the way…. in a couple of years. Obviously depending on how things (things being ratings, financials, contract negotiations, and the like) go, the artist-formerly-known-as-Marky-Mark says they’ll do two more seasons of the hit HBO series, then Vinnie, Turtle, Eric and Johnny (and Ari, of course! maybe even Lloyd too!) will be headed to the big screen.

“It is not out of the realm of possibility,” an HBO spokeswoman said about the prospect of an “Entourage” movie. “Right now, the creators are concentrating on the new season.”

Let’s not get too excited just yet, okay? Two years is a long time – and well, shouldn’t that “Sopranos” movie (which, I believe, was also announced by it’s creative team just prior to the final season of that series) inch forward first? Let’s not also forget that someone’s going to have to pony up the dough for a big-screen “Entourage” which, considering it’s likely all-star roster of cameos, won’t be a cheap movie to produce. Still, we can hold out hope!
