Levy's back for American Pie 4

Eugene Levy has signed on to reprise his role as Jim’s Dad for the fourth instalment of the "American Pie" series.

Levy’s currently filming scenes in "American Pie 4: Band Camp", for Director Steve Rash.

I find it kinda surprising that Levy’s doing this one – if only because it’s going straight to video. The former SCTV comic has made a bit of a comeback in the last few years, starring in not only the "Pie" series, but also "A Mighty Wind", "Best in Show", "New York Minute" and the upcoming "The Man" (to name but a few of his theatrically-screened efforts) – "Pie 4" will mark his first addition to his B pile – in quite some time.

On the other hand, you can understand why Universal wanted Levy for the film – he’s the best thing in the series. Just hope he was handsomely paid.

According to our scooper, Levy will be the only cast member from the previous three films appearing in the new sequel.
