Lionsgate are doing a remake of the 1997 cult classic “Cube”, titled “Cubed”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The project is a teaming between “Prometheus” writer Jon Spaihts, “Ring” producer Roy Lee, and filmmaker Saman Kesh – who’ll write and direct.
“Cube”, directed by Vincenzo Natali, told of a group of strangers that awake in a strange and deadly man-made cube and have to figure a way out.
The trade describes the redo as “a sci-fi survival thriller about artificial intelligence, humanity and the birth of a new ‘digital’ race.”
“Cube” was followed by a couple of sequels.
