Mulroney reunites with “My Best Friend’s Wedding” co-star in “August”

One-time rom-com staple Dermot Mulroney (“My Best Friend’s Wedding”, “Must Love Dogs”) has joined the cast of ”August: Osage County”. The film, also starring Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts and based on the play of the same name, will see Mulroney play Steve.

Seth Green (“Buffy”, “Robot Chicken”) will play a hacker activist in a new mini-series called “Delete”, set in a world where the internet has turned on Mankind. The four-hour mini-series also features the likes of former ‘Max Headroom’ star Matt Frewer.

Pattinson is the new “Lawrence of Arabia”

Robert Pattinson will join Naomi Watts in “Queen of the Desert”, “described as the female Lawrence of Arabia for the impact the English woman had in the Middle East and her work in establishing what would become the modern framework for Jordan and Iraq. She was an explorer, writer, archeologist and political attache and worked for British Intelligence during World War I”, according to THR. “Pattinson will play T.E. Lawrence, the archeologist-turned-British Army officer who played key roles in Middle Eastern revolutions in the same time period and became close friends with Bell. Peter O’Toole earned an Oscar nom for portraying the explorer in the 1962 classic Lawrence of Arabia.”

Nothing new, but still sad… for Riggs fans. Mel Gibson says there won’t be a “Lethal Weapon 5”. “I think the way things are going with “Total Recall,” they’ll just remake those somehow. Though it’s really tough to replace Danny. He was so amazing in those things. It was a good gig for us. It worked. But we knew it would.” In addition, he said he’s interested in checking out “Mad Max Fury Road” when it’s done.
