Michael Bay’s next shares a direct link with Pooh

Evan Spiliotopoulos, a direct-to-DVD regular whose credits largely fall within the family friendly range (“Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie”, “The Lion King 1 1/2”), has been tapped to write “Ouija”, for director McG and Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes, says THR.

Based on the Hasbro board game, the flick – about conjuring up ghosts, and all that fun stuff – is said to be less like producer Bay’s previous horror efforts (“A Nightmare on Elm Street”, “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”) and more akin to an “Indiana Jones” or “Mummy” movie.

”Tron: Legacy” writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz had written a draft of “Ouija” but are too busy to amend to requested tweaks, so Spiliotopoulos has been roped in.
