Michael Corleone Cruising into Comic Book Movies?

Say hello to my little friend, Kevin!

Earlier this year, playboy thesp Al Pacino publicly mentioned that he loved Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”. Unexpected, sure, but seems it’s paid off – Pacino might be able to pass on those 50 Cent-produced movies now. Scarface’s praise for “Guardians” was heard, because Marvel soon requested a meeting with the big guy (Pacino, not Hulk).

“I’ve met with the Marvel guy. It’s a Marvel how things happen”, laughs Pacino, speaking to Josh Horowitz on his Happy Sad Confused Podcast (via Comic Book Movie).

Horowitz asked if it was Kevin Feige that Pacino had spoken to (because if the ‘Marvel’ guy Pacino was referring to had been Terrence Howard.. well, that’s not going to help).

“Yeah. I would imagine that either there’s something he feels is right for me and if I feel-”

The “Heat” and “Dick Tracy” star was interrupted by a call, which he said was likely going to be Kevin Feige asking Pacino not to say anymore, and the converse never got back on track. So it’s up to us to now play the guessing game.

So, what do you think guys? Which Marvel movie might Feige want Pacino for? Maybe “Guardians of the Galaxy 2”? (Star-Lord’s papa?!), maybe there’s a role he’d be spot-on for in Scott Derrickson’s “Doctor Strange”? or maybe he’s going to be the big bad in a future “Avengers” flick?

Whatever the case, I’m down with this. Whoo-Ha!

Pacino isn’t unfamiliar to the world of cartoonish comic book flicks either; he of course played Big Boy Caprice in “Dick Tracy” in 1990. One might also include “Righteous Kill” in that category; it’s as a fucking cartoon.
