Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2 is adding more to it’s fat credit block.

According to Deadline, The White Lotus actor Fred Hechinger is in talks to join the cast, replacing Joker‘s Barry Keoghan who has been forced to pull out of the role of Emperor Geta in the sequel to the 2000 film.

Derek Jacobi, returning as Gracchus, May Calamawy, Lior Raz, Peter Mensah, and Matt Lucas, have also boarded the David Scarpa-penned sequel.

The movie, featuring Paul Mescal in the lead, Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, and Connie Nielsen, is due for release November 22, 2024.
