New Evil Dead flick in the works

News out of the New York Comic-Con is that a new “Evil Dead” movie is on the way! The original director Sam Raimi confirmed the news, also noting that it would have a new director. Bruce Campbell, while not returning in an acting capacity, is on board to produce.

Raimi is currently promoting “The Grudge” at Comic-Con, but confirmed more “Evil Dead” by simply commenting : “There is more Evil Dead coming”.

Campbell played Ash in “The Evil Dead II” as well as the subsequent (now cancelled) TV show “Ash vs The Evil Dead” , though has now retired the character.

Fede Álvarez directed the last big screen adaptation in 2013.

Raimi has teased more “Evil Dead” in recent times but this is a good indication that it’s not too far off development now!
