New Trailers

Quite a few trailers have emerged over the past couple of days. I’ve just added a couple of them to the trailers section.

Robin Hood
No Kevin Costner, Michael Kamen, or snarling Michael Wincott (the crowds cheer in the streets!) but instead, we get the golden team of Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett (replacing Sienna Miller; bummer for Miller, eh!?) and Ridley Scott – – and the Sid Ganis raises an eyebrow. My old mate Kevin Durand (TVs “Lost”) also has a role, playing no less than Little John! Fatter turkey on the Durand’s table this year me thinks.

Cats & Dogs : Revenge of Kitty Galore
None of the original voice cast (Tobey Maguire, Jeff Goldblum etc ) return, so that’s likely the tip-off that this will stink worse than an unemptied litter-tray, but kids will seemingly watch anything these days – just watch “Alvin and the Chipmunks : The Squeakuel” take a sando aqua monster-sized bite out of the box office! – especially films in which pooch’s talk.

The Crazies
Yep, they’ve – or, Breck ‘ My Dad use to run Disney, so ner!’ Eisner (“Sahara”) has – remade the classic George A. Romero film. Wait! Don’t sigh… I expected the worst too, but this actually looks quite good! Timothy Olyphant (great in the last season of “Damages”) and Radha Mitchell (Love that girl! One of the most down-to-earth actresses around!) look like they could be a good unit; better still, looks like Eisner’s done what James Gunn’s done when he remade “Dawn of the Dead” – rob the template, but put his own spin on it.
