Nixon talks Sex and the City sequel

No “Big” follow-up plans at the moment

I frankly couldn’t give a damn about the “Sex and the City” movie – in fact, I’d rather take a dip in the local sewerage pipe than having to view a 30 foot-tall Sarah Jessica Parker – but I know of bunch of you out there, could. Give a damn, that is. And don’t mind paying $16 to see Kim Cattrall’s bony butt straddle a 60-year old guy for a piece of the pie he’s eating (or whatever takes her fancy).

If you have pre-booked your tickets to the film, you’ll also be keen to know whether or not this new film is planned as the first of many “Sex and the City” movies (It took them enough to get Kim Cattrall back for one film, you really think they’re going to be able to twist her arm into doing another? Not even if her figure is tripled and she’s promised head from Bob Shaye).

“I don’t know,” Cynthia Nixon tells Access Hollywood when asked whether a sequel was planned. “We were [at such a] breakneck speed to get this first movie out, I don’t know if there would be a second one, but it’s not up to me.”

According to Cynthia, however, there is plenty left over should another movie appear on the cards.
“I feel like we could release a second movie just based on stuff that we’ve cut out of this movie,” she said. “Magda [Miranda’s nanny] had a whole romance with a Ukrainian guy!”

According to my wife, one of the best characters on “Sex and the City” was Aidan, played by John Corbett. Maybe the sequel could see him returning to claim back his beloved Carrie from Mr. Big? (Or in the very least, hump someone for a piece of pie).

Wanted sequel already in the works
