Spruce up the self-esteem and brush up on the insults! It’s Razzie Time again!
The Golden Raspberries, commonly known as ‘the Razzies’, and awarding the ‘worst in film’ have announced their annual list of red-faced nominees.
Adam Sandler landed 11 Razzie Nominations this year, including worst actor for both ”Jack and Jill” and ”Just Go with It”— and, of course, worst actress for ”Jack and Jill”, being that the Sandman also played his on-screen sister. Sandler has also received nods in the worst couple and producing categories.
“It’s almost karmic for someone to have made that much razz-able stuff in one year,” said Razzies founder John Wilson. “He has angered someone really powerful, I would say.”
Other nominees include Nicolas Cage (“Drive Angry” and so on and so on…), Nick Swardson (“Bucky Larson”), Russell Brand (“Arthur”) and Taylor Lautner (“Abduction”, “Breaking Dawn”).
Bill Condon, director of “Breaking Dawn”, is up for worst director.
