Former “The OC” star Peter Gallagher is joining ABC’s “Greys Anatomy” for it’s 18th season.
Gallagher’s Dr. Alan Hamilton, who knew Ellis Grey (Kate Burton), will recur. The new season premieres September 30.
66-year-old Gallagher, whose many film credits include “Summer Lovers” and “Center Stage”, will largely work with Burton – who he’ll appear in flashback scenes with – and headline act Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey).
Gallagher, who recently appeared in ”Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” and guest starred on Netflix’s ”Grace and Frankie” and NBC’s ”Law & Order: SVU”, is married to producer Paula Wildash.
