Caffeinated Clint
Peter Weir, lovely bloke and terrific filmmaker (his legion of hits include “Gallipoli”, “Dead Poet’s Society” and “Witness”), is making moves on another project. According to Variety, the next, unhurried venture for Weir will be a supernatural thriller called “The Keep”, based on a book by Jennifer Egan.
Weir isn’t known for supernatural flicks, possibly not even thrillers – though some may argue that “Picnic at Hanging Rock” was rather spooky – so it’ll be interesting to see how he handles the change of pace.
“The Keep”, according to the book sleeve, goes a little like this :

Though post-production will be done in Weir’s native Australia, he’ll shoot the flick in Europe.
