Prometheus sequel due in 2014 or 2015

Michael Fassbender in "Prometheus"

There’s good news and there’s bad news.

First, the good news, “Prometheus” is getting a sequel.

Now, the bad news : I really doubt James Cameron is going to take over from Ridley Scott on directing duties, skip the metaphysical deep-drivel nonsense and go all gun-ho military action, and bring Michael Biehn is as a resurrected Hicks to lead the charge against the giant fucking Space Jockeys.

Scott is prepping “Prometheus 2 : In Space Nobody Can Hear David Cream” for a 2014 or 2015 release, an article in THR says.

This one might be a little different to the first, since it sounds like Damon Lindelof is going to be too busy to write the sequel. One thing’s for sure, both Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender will return.

“Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can’t rush it,” says Fox president of production Emma Watts.

I agree, rushing it would see that blended it too seamlessly with most of Fox’s other releases of the next couple of years.
