Says the Schwarzenegger surrogate, “I don’t want to give anything away, but we already have our Conan. Really it’s about the villain, what that villain is going to extract from Conan, and where as an actor I want to go with Conan. You know, no one’s going to know what I want to do better than me.”

Robert Rodriguez says he’s found the financing for both “Machete 2” and “Sin City 2” but is still working on the scripts (as any struggling filmmaker will tell you, it’s usually the other way around; of course, Rodriguez is anything but a ‘struggling’ filmmaker), “Sin City 2 is going good, we’re just finishing the script for that, we already got the money. We have everything we need so we can just start shooting as soon as we get the pages. And it’s the same thing for Machete 2. We’ve already got the budget, just waiting for the script. As soon as we’re finished writing we get to start the shoot.”

Mireille Enos (“The Killing”) will co-star in the Warner Bros.-Village Roadshow period crime drama “Gangster Squad”, being directed by Ruben Fleischer. Enos plays the wife of Josh Brolin’s character.

Folks were a bit mixed in their response to Anne Hathaway’s ‘Catwoman’ costume as seen in the recently-released promo still from “Dark Knight Rises”, but the actress says there’s no need to be concerned. “If you didn’t like the photo, you only see about a 10th of what that suit can do. And if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste.”

Peter Gabriel’s groundbreaking ”New Blood” tour may not have found its way to Australian shores, but local fans won’t miss a note of the legendary singer’s latest musical venture at a special 3D cinema event at Hoyts Cinemas, Dendy Cinemas and selected independent cinemas from 25-28 August. Filmed over two nights in March at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, Peter Gabriel’s ”New Blood 3D” puts audiences in the front row as the former Genesis frontman gives an orchestral makeover to his solo back catalogue with the help of the 46-piece New Blood Orchestra.

Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville announced today that they will release the movie soundtrack for the upcoming Paramount Pictures film, “Footloose,” available everywhere on September 27th. The 12-track album features music from the film and includes eight new songs along with remakes of four of the classic hits from the original soundtrack. Blake Shelton sings the film’s title song, “Footloose” and Victoria Justice and Hunter Hayes join the album with the movie’s love theme, “Almost Paradise.” The star-studded line-up for the soundtrack also includes new music from Big & Rich, Cee Lo Green, David Banner, Whitney Duncan, Lissie and Zac Brown of Zac Brown Band. Other classic songs featured on the album are “Holding Out For A Hero” by Ella Mae Bowen and “Let’s Hear It For The Boy” by Jana Kramer.

The Jean-Claude Van Damme/Scott Adkins two-hander “Assassination Games” will hit DVD and Blu-ray in Australia in October.

Bruce Beresford (“Driving Miss Daisy”) is directing “White Mouse”, the tale of Nancy Wake, “the highest decorated woman of WWII. While working with the French Resistance, she commanded 7000 Maquis fighters in preparation for D-Day.” Wake died last week in London aged 98.

Justin Evans’ “A Lonely Place for Dying” is beating “X-Men : First Class” and “Source Code” on BitTorrent.
