The new Oz horror film ”Road Train”, starring Xavier Samuel and Sophie Lowe, is being included in the Fangoria Fright Fest in the US as “Road Kill”. The film, along with 7 other films, can get voted for at the Fangoria Fright Fest website based on viewing the trailer. The winning film then will get a US theatrical release, & along with the other films, will run as part of a BlockBuster exclusive campaign across the US for a period and then will be avail to all retailers/rental stores. The guys behind “Road Train” (aka “Road Kill”) have put up a special ‘vote for roadkill’ trailer which can be found here.

Sony passed along the poster for David Fincher’s upcoming ‘Facebook’ movie, “The Social Network“. The film, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, and Rashida Jones, is based on Ben Mezrich’s novel “The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal”, which tells the story behind the controversial birth of the Facebook website. The movie itself will focus on the drama behind the Harvard dorm room creation of the popular social networking site by Mark Zuckerberg and his roommates.

HBO has already (the third season has just started airing) greenlit “True Blood” for a fourth season (More…).

The terrific Aussie thriller “Black Water“, which has since been sold to 76 Countries, is now available for streaming at iTunes. “To see the film that couldn’t be seen, just go to the iTunes store, click on movies and type in Black Water”, says writer/director Andrew Traucki. “Hooray for digital distribution!”

Columbia Pictures announced today that they’re retaining the services of “Zombieland” director Ruben Fleischer, who’ll direct Mike White’s “Babe in the Woods“. The script, described as an action/comedy, is about a Midwestern girl who arrives at Yale for her freshman year and becomes a target of the New Jersey mob (More…)
