The trailer for Kelly Asbury’s parent-friendly “Gnomeo and Juliet” is online. The flick, featuring classic music by Elton John (see! told you us oldies will enjoy it!), features the voices of Michael Caine and Emily Blunt.

The promo poster for “Spider-Man 3D” has emerged. Have uploaded it on my Facebook page if you’re interested in having a peep. Don’t expect much. Shit, don’t expect much at all! (They even kept the same font, lazy slingers!)

Seems “The Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawnwon’t be in 3D (they say that now). Is this where I insert a gag about the first three flicks behidn in 1D?

Movie Network Channels announced today that “Underbelly” star Gyton Grantley will be the Ambassador of the online filmmaking competition, MOVIE EXTRA WEBFEST. Grantley will also be part of the judging panel to choose the winner of MOVIE EXTRA WEBFEST. MOVIE EXTRA WEBFEST is the exciting new online competition which gives filmmakers the opportunity to win a $50,000 production budget to produce a seven part web series for MOVIE EXTRA. James Cameron is commissioning engineers to build a special vessel to travel 36,000 feet (10,972 meters) to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in the western Pacific for “Avatar 2“. The two-seater submersible will be fitted with a heating system and 3-D cameras to capture pictures of the depths for the movie, expected to hit theaters in 2014. No word if Bill Paxton will be manning the vessel. (More…)

James McAvoy, set to play young Professor Charles Xavier in “X-Men : First Class“, tells MTV he hopes to “bury Patrick’s performance…I think the fun about these films, when you go back and you either reboot or do a prequel, is you get to see how people became who they are. That means that you have to do them differently and by the end of the movie you have to do them the same way.” He added: “The interesting journey is what happens to them, what changes them, what makes them evolve – not just mutate, but emotionally and psychologically evolve.” Sounds like a press release, James.
