Rising star Kathleen LaGue (In addition to being quite a good actres, she is also one heck of a singer – pick up one of her albums), may be back to do battle with the evil wiggly things again in a sequel to the forthcoming “Razortooth”, says Dread Central. Could we have a new Ellen Ripley on our hands?
Formerly known as “Sssslither” – title change is probably due to James Gunn’s recently released similarly-titled “Slither” – the first film fixes on a local animal control expert who teams up with a lady sheriff (LaGue) to try and track down a famished eel.
The film, co-starring Doug Swander, is getting some great early buzz with many predicting it’ll be the start of a slick new franchise.
Confident that they’ll make a sale at next month’s AFM – where they’ll screen the film – the producers have already cranked up the ideas machine for a sequel. (And if you’re possibly interested in acquiring this beautiful beast – check out the trailer here).
With the proficient Mike Elliot (“The Devils Rejects”) executive producing the film, we’re guaranteed a pretty good time.
