Richard Gray redoing Takashi Miike flick Audition

Aussie director Richard Gray (“Mine Games”, “Blinder”) is redoing the Takashi Miike classic “Audition”, according to Deadline.

“Basic Instinct” producer Mario Kassar (and former Carolco co-founder; he shepherded such pics as “Rambo 3”, “Red Heat”, “Air America” and “L.A Story”) will produce the new version, which will again fix on a chap who auditions for a prospective lover and gets more than he bargained for.

How about Anna Hutchison – a regular of Gray’s – for the part of the ballerina with the dark past!? Let’s make it so!
