MTV has ordered the controversial* “Scream” to series.
The 10-episode first season will run between Taylor Swift and George Michael videos in October of 2015.
The Jamie Travis directed pilot stars newcomers Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor, and John Karna; none of the stars of the original “Scream” movie series as believed to be involved in the small-screen incarnation. In addition, the storyline will be somewhat different to the Wes Craven-directed film quadrilogy, taking it’s cue from the ‘found footage’ movie craze of recent times.
* controversial because it apparently doesn’t feature it’s central rogue in the franchise trademark ‘Ghostface’ mask. I know, right…!?
