Here’s the good news girls, “Sex and the City 3” is likely going to happen.
Here’s the bad news, it’ll probably be without Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. Maybe even Morocco.
But there’s a good reason for the foursome’s no-show in sequel number two – and that’s because, well, it ain’t so much a sequel as it is a ‘prequel’.
E Online! reports that New Line is interested in bringing ”Candace Bushnell’s latest tome The Carrie Diaries for the big screen, according to a source. The 400-page young adult novel centers on Carrie’s high school years in Connecticut.”
According to the site, Miley Cyrus has already put her hand up to play teenage Carrie Bradshaw.
No comment. At all. Really.
Maybe New Line will dangle some beaming carrots in front of Ms Parker in an effort to entice her into narrating the film?
Though a disappointment by industry standards (they expected it to open bigger – squish-squashing the results of the original film; it didn’t), “Sex and the City 2” has still made a reasonably cushy $90 million.
