Shankmann planning Wedding sequel

Director Adam Shankman’s company, Offspring Entertainment, has announced plans to launch a sequel to an earlier Shankman hit, the “The Wedding Planner”.

“We’ve been asked about this over and over again, and it’s finally time to do it,”  Shankman’s production partner, Jennifer Gibgot, tells PR USA.

The original 2001 film starred Jennifer Lopez as San Francisco’s most successful supplier of romance and glamour. She knows all the tricks. She knows all the rules. But then she breaks the most important rule of all: she falls in love with the groom (Matthew McConaughey).

Rumour has it that Ms Lopez won’t be back for the sequel – she and Shankman apparently had a falling out a few years back – and that the sequel will fix on a new character (Madonna is a producer on the sequel, maybe she’ll stand in?).
