Simon & Edgar Speak!

The stars of “Hot Fuzz” doing some early promo

Harry Knowles over at AICN recently sat down with Edgar Wright Jr to talk a little bit of “Hot Fuzz” which is currently due for release at the beginning of 2007, and features feloow “Shaun Of The Dead” leads, Simon Pegg & Nick Frost. Speaking of Frost, here’s a little sample from their pretty lengthy conversation:

H – Well, Nick’s sort of like a puppy or a child in a scene. You know, you don’t want to work with him because he’s going to steal everything.

E – Yeah I know. I remember that when he was on “Shaun”, Bill Nighy and Penelope Wilton marveled a him. They weren’t really aware of him at all and he hadn’t actually done much. You know it’s funny, before SPACED the Frost basically hadn’t done any acting at all. I am always very impressed by how he matures whilst remaining completely immature.”

Edgar also mentions that he hopes to have a rough teaser trailer done in time for the San Diego Comic-Con, which he hopes to attend with Nick.

In the meantime, the boys at Joblo had a chat with Simon Pegg, a little to do with “Mission: Impossible 3”, and a little more “Fuzz” info:

JB: Please tell us a bit about “Hot Fuzz” and the tone of comedy it will use.

SP: “Hot Fuzz” is a police/action/comedy/thriller/comedy. We’re doing for the cops what we did for zombies.”

To read the rest…. well, you know.
