Paul Giamatti is playing Jerry Heller, manager of N.W.A in “Straight Outta Compton”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The “Amazing Spider-Man 2” star joins a cast that includes O’Shea Jackson Jr, who is playing his father Ice Cube in the film, with Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E and Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre.
The project, directed by F.Gary Gray, is set in the mid-1980s and chronicles how five young men channeled their experiences growing up in Compton into a successful music career.
Giamatti’s character Jerry Heller ran Ruthless Records with Eazy-E.
