A new critter has been unveiled ahead of the release of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”! This is Babu Frik, who is described by the “Star Wars” website as a tiny Anzellan droidsmith who works among the Spice Runners of Kijimi and can reprogram or modify virtually any droid — regardless of the security measures protecting its systems.
The new alien has been unveiled as a part of a competition: a once-in-a-lifetime chance for you and a friend to attend the red carpet premiere of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” ahead of its December 20 release. You can read more about it on the website.
It’s hard to believe it’s only a couple more months until the film is released, and Lucasfilm also used the opportunity to reveal the corporate sponsors for the closing of the Skywalker saga: United Airlines, Porsche, Bose, Samsung Mobile, GE Appliances, McDonald’s, General Mills, and Dannon. McDonald’s Happy Meal toys will include 16 different stylised “Star Wars” collectible characters.
