Sutherland and Roberts for Schumacher film?

This should be interesting – Kiefer Sutherland has reunited with his “Lost Boys”, “Phone Booth” and “Flatliners” director Joel Schumacher for the latter’s new flick “Twelve”. Sutherland’s co-star? None other than Emma Roberts – yep, the niece of the woman that ran out on Sutherland on their wedding day. But surely Julia’s never discussed any of this with her young niece, right? (Still, won’t be easy for Sutherland – Emma looks quite a bit like her aunt).

You’ll recall that Sutherland and Roberts met on the set of 1990’s “Flatliners” and later got engaged. Joel Schumacher, the director of their moderately successful flick, helped arrange the wedding. Roberts broke the engagement three days before the wedding when she discovered Sutherland had been meeting with a stripper named Amanda Rice. His friend Jason Patric ran off with Roberts to Ireland. And I imagine Sutherland and Schumacher spent the next week drinking daiquiris at some shady bar named after your Penis.

The Nick McDonnell-novel “Twelve” tells of teenage drug use and decadence on the Upper East Side.

The story follows a high school dropout-turned-drug dealer. His lucrative life sours when the dealer’s cousin is brutally murdered on an East Harlem playground and his best friend is arrested for the crime.

In addition to Sutherland and Roberts, the pic will star Chace Crawford (Tvs “Gossip Girl”), Rory Culkin (“The Good Son”), Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and 80s siren Ellen Barkin (“Sea of Love”), according to Variety.

Good to see ‘the dream team’ of Sutherland and Schumacher back together.
