“Grudge 2” star up for a change of pace
No doubt aching for something a little lighter after “The Grudge 2”, rising young starlet Amber Tambyln (TV’s “Joan of Arcadia”, “Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants”) has signed for an out-and-out teen comedy called “Spring Breakdown,” for writer/director Ryan Shiraki. Better than a holiday, eh?
The WB comedy revolves around three thirtysomething friends who break the monotony of their uninspired lives by vacationing on an island that is a popular spring break getaway for college co-eds. One of the women works for a powerful senator whose daughter is one of those co-eds, only she’s as geeky as her chaperones.
Tamblyn portrays the senator’s daughter, says The Hollywood Reporter.
