Taylor Swift back for Valentine’s Day sequel?

A few weeks ago we chatted to Ashton Kutcher who revealed that he’d been asked to be part of the “Valentine’s Day” sequel but remains – if you’ll excuse the cheesy pun – uncommitted. Mr Moore went on to explain that it was totally “script dependent” as to whether or not he does end up reprising his romantic florist role for next year’s “New Years Eve” – which will also be directed by “Day” director Garry Marshall.

As I said at the time, it’s likely the producers are trying to coax quite a few of the “Valentine’s Day” stars back for this sequel… or spin-off… or whatever they’re calling it. They’ve probably got a list, and are working their way down it – setting up meetings with all the beautiful people involved in the first flick. So who else, besides Kutcher (should the script be up to his “standard” – snigger), may be back?

E! Online says that Taylor Swift has also been approached about coming back. She’d reprise her ditzy cheerleader character who, in this one, would be at NYU.

The site says that Swift will be one of only two “Valentine’s Day” stars returning for the sequel – Hector Elizondo, who has a role in every one of Garry Marshall’s movies, will be back (shocker!) – but don’t believe that. The fact that Kutcher told us he’s been approached proves that there are several “Valentine’s Day” characters being written into the “New Years Eve” script and more so, that the producers are still trying to coax some of the original actors back. Quite a few of those cast members (hello George Lopez!) like the greenbacks, so I’d expect to see more than two of them say ‘yay’ to the offer.
