Alan Rickman, Olivia Cooke and Douglas Booth will star in director Juan Carlos Medina’s adaptation of “Dan Leno And The Limehouse Golem”.
The book, by Peter Ackroyd, was adapted for the screen by Jane Goldman.
Set in 1880 London, the story follows a series of murders that have shaken the community to the point where people believe that only a legendary creature from dark times — the mythical so-called Golem — must be responsible.
The film will simply be titled “The Limehouse Golem” and will be produced by Number 9 Films’ Stephan Woolley, Elizabeth Karlsen and Joanna Laurie.
