Thornton teases a Bad Santa 2

Despite it only being a moderate success when initially released in theaters, the black comedy “Bad Santa” has gone on to be somewhat of a cult classic.  Seemingly just a fan of it as everyone else, and quite aware there’s a hankering for more, star Billy Bob Thornton tells Collider that a sequel could be on the cards.

”Bad Santa’s become like a classic Christmas movie. People watch It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th St. and Bad Santa now is sort of the box set. And there’s been talk of making a sequel to it, which I actually would like to do. I’ve never done a sequel to one of my movies, but that one makes sense to me to do it.”

In addition to a possible Santa reprise, Thornton says he and “One False Move” scribe Tom Epperson are reuniting on a movie called “Jayne Mansfield’s Car”. While Thornton didn’t reveal anything about the film, it’s safe to assume, considering the title, that it’s about the accident that killed the legendary actresses life.
