The trailer for James Franco’s “Child of God” has hit the web.
Franco directed the film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s novel which follows Lester Ballard, a violent, dispossessed man who attempts to exist outside the social order. Deprived of parents and housing, a lonely Ballard falls deeper and deeper into crime and degradation.
Franco penned the script and also makes an appearance in the film opposite stars Scott Haze, Jim Parrack and Tim Blake Nelson.
“Child of God” will roll into cinemas on August 1.
