Transformers in 3D, too!?

Michael Bay and Paramount are considering 3D for the next chapter of the “Transformers” series. Since “Avatar” has grossed an over $150M worldwide from IMAX alone, which is a world record, every film has been jumping the 3D track.

One of the problems that “Transformers 3” might face is that it is locked in for a release date of July 1st 2011. If the parties involved decide to go the 3D route for the sequel, it might be a problem due to the time constraints that shooting big budget scenes in 3D would entail.

But don’t worry Michael Bay isn’t fresh out of ideas just yet, he can always take the route of the upcoming “Clash of the Titans” and perform post-production 3D effects, just don’t expect to be wowed like “Avatar”.

Stay tuned for future development and final decisions on this story. Here’s the original story at Variety.
